GTA 6 Fastest Cars: What We Know (Top Speeds After Launch)
Quick answer
Nobody knows the fastest car in GTA 6 yet. Rockstar has shown sports cars, muscle cars, street racing and named a few vehicles like the '95 Grotti Cheetah, but no top speeds or prices. Real speeds need testing after the November 19, 2026 launch, and in-game stat bars weren't reliable in GTA 5 either.
Seen a "GTA 6 fastest cars" list already? Close it. Nobody knows the fastest car yet, and anyone handing you top speeds right now is guessing. Below: what Rockstar has actually shown, how speed rankings worked in GTA 5, and how we'll test it after launch.
Vehicles Rockstar has shown in GTA 6
From the trailers and the Netflix Extended Look (same list as our what can you do in GTA 6 guide):
| Vehicle type | Where it was shown | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Sports cars, muscle cars, street racing | Trailer 1, Extended Look | ✅ CONFIRMED |
| Speedboats, airboats | Trailer 1 | ✅ CONFIRMED |
| Jet skis, kayaks | Extended Look | ✅ CONFIRMED |
| Dirt bikes, ATVs | Trailer 1, Extended Look | ✅ CONFIRMED |
| Helicopters | Trailer 1 | ✅ CONFIRMED |
Two gameplay details that matter for car lovers:
- ✅ Gas meters: cars need fuel, per GameSpot and PC Gamer.
- ✅ Key cloner: older cars can be stolen the classic way, newer models need a key cloner, per GameSpot.
Vehicles Rockstar has named
These come from Rockstar's official Ultimate Edition listing (June 24, 2026, quoted by VGC). They're ✅ confirmed names, but no speeds or stats were given.
| Vehicle | Rockstar's description | How you get it |
|---|---|---|
| '95 Grotti Cheetah | "Grotti's signature mid '90s sports car" | Ultimate Edition |
| Vapid Ganado | Jason's car; gets a retro mod kit | Mod kit is Ultimate Edition |
| '67 Vapid Dominator Buggy | "A Mud Club monster" for off-road | Ultimate Edition |
| Dinka Enduro | Army-tinted motorcycle | Ultimate Edition |
| Shitzu Squalo | Boat, "perfect for casting in Gambit Bay" | Ultimate Edition |
| Crest Kayak | Safehouse vehicle option | Ultimate Edition |
Plus a Rideout Customs mod shop and a classic car collection commission, also Ultimate Edition. Details: GTA 6 editions & price.
⚠️ Insider Gaming says some Trailer 2 cars resemble Porsche, Lamborghini and Mercedes models. That's a media read. Rockstar uses parody brands.
GTA 6 fastest cars: top speeds

| 3 | TBA | TBA | ⏳ Tested after launch |
| 4 | TBA | TBA | ⏳ Tested after launch |

We won't fill this with guesses. The Cheetah is a sports car, but being in the Ultimate Edition doesn't make it fast.
GTA 6 most expensive cars
| Rank | Car | Price | Where to buy |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | TBA | TBA | TBA |
| 2 | TBA | TBA | TBA |
| 3 | TBA | TBA | TBA |
Rockstar hasn't shown car prices, dealerships or car websites for GTA 6. ⚠️ Whether you can buy cars at all like in GTA 5 is not confirmed. Money for later: how to make money fast in GTA 6.

How GTA 5 ranked its fastest cars (for reference)
This is GTA 5, not GTA 6. The lesson: the stat bars lied. GTA 5's in-game speed bars suggested the Adder was faster than it really was. The community relied on testing by Broughy1322, who ran every car on the same track.
GTA 5 story mode top 5, per GTA BOOM (based on Broughy1322's data):
| # | GTA 5 car | Tested top speed | Story price |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Vapid Pißwasser Dominator | 126.50 mph | Not for sale (Stock Car races) |
| 2 | Truffade Z-Type | 126.25 mph (upgraded) | $10,000,000 |
| 3 | Truffade Adder | 124.75 mph | $1,000,000 |
| 4 | Progen T20 | 122.25 mph | $2,200,000 |
| 5 | Pegassi Osiris | 122.00 mph | $1,950,000 |
Three GTA 5 lessons:
- Upgrades matter. The Z-Type only hits its number after Los Santos Customs upgrades.
- Price isn't speed. The $10 million Z-Type barely beat a $1 million Adder.
- Versions change lists. The Dominator was added in the newer-console version, so older lists missed it.
How we'll test GTA 6 top speeds
| Step | What we do |
|---|---|
| Same road | One long straight, same conditions |
| Full upgrades | Every car tested stock and fully upgraded (if mods exist) |
| Speedometer + timing | In-game readout plus our own timing from footage |
| Retest after patches | Patches can change handling |
Stock and upgraded speeds get separate columns.
⏳ Awaiting launch: what we'll add on November 19
This page is a launch shell. After November 19, we'll test cars on our own playthrough and update this page with:
- The real top 10 fastest cars, tested and dated
- The most expensive cars and where to buy them
- Best early car you can grab for free
- Fastest bike, boat and helicopter
- Whether the car you steal on day one is worth keeping
Get notified when this is verified: grab the free Day-1 Checklist below.
Our take: don't pick an edition because of a car you hope is fast. GTA 5 showed that stat bars and price tags don't tell you top speed, so wait for real testing before you chase one.
