GTA 6 on PS5 Pro: What 'PS5 Pro Enhanced' Means (and Is It Worth It?)
Quick answer
GTA 6's PlayStation Store listing carries a 'PS5 Pro Enhanced' label, so the PS5 Pro will get some improvements. Rockstar hasn't said what they are: no confirmed resolution, frame rate or 60fps mode. GTA 6 runs on every PS5, so you don't need a Pro to play it on November 19, 2026.
"PS5 Pro Enhanced" sounds great on a store page. But what does it actually mean for GTA 6? Here's the honest answer, plus whether a Pro is worth buying for it.
What "PS5 Pro Enhanced" confirms
The PlayStation Store listing for GTA 6 shows a "PS5 Pro Enhanced" label. Sony uses that label when a game has extra improvements on PS5 Pro, typically sharper image quality, higher or more stable frame rates, or better effects.
What Rockstar has not said: which enhancements GTA 6 gets on Pro.

Will GTA 6 run at 60fps on PS5 Pro?
Nobody can confirm that yet. Rockstar North's studio head reportedly said the game runs at 30fps on consoles during development, with 60fps still being discussed (secondhand, August 2026). Digital Foundry has also doubted that a stable 60fps is realistic even on PS5 Pro.
So if 60fps is your only reason to buy a Pro, wait until Rockstar publishes the specs. Overview of all PS5 facts: GTA 6 on PS5.

- Already have a PS5? No need. GTA 6 is built for the standard PS5 too. Save the money for the game and a GTA 6 controller.
- Buying a new console anyway? The Pro gets the best version and more storage. That's a fair reason.
- Waiting for a bundle? None is announced. Don't overpay for "bundles" from unknown shops.
