PS5 features: what Rockstar confirmed
In a PlayStation Blog post on June 24, 2026, Rockstar said GTA 6 is designed to take full advantage of the PS5:
- DualSense haptic feedback and adaptive triggers that change resistance with what happens in-game
- The controller speaker used for certain sounds and interactions
- Tempest 3D AudioTech for more precise sound positioning
- The PS5 SSD for near-instant loading in the open world

Does GTA 6 run at 30fps or 60fps on PS5?
Not confirmed. Here's what's out there:
- Reported: after a visit to Rockstar North (August 2026), a YouTuber quoted studio head Rob Nelson saying "the consoles are running the game at 30 frames per second," with 60fps still to be discussed. That's secondhand, not an official spec.
- Not announced: resolution, performance modes and an official frame rate.
We'll update this the moment Rockstar publishes it.

How big is GTA 6 on PS5?
Rockstar hasn't published the file size. We plan for about 150 GB (estimate). A launch PS5 has roughly 667 GB usable, so check yours with the storage calculator and read how many GB GTA 6 will be.
Disc or digital on PS5?
The physical box contains a download code, not a disc, so you download the full game either way, and it works on PS5 Digital Edition. More: Does GTA 6 come on a disc?
