GTA 6 Trailer 3 Release Date: Is the New Trailer Out?
Quick answer
Yes, the third GTA 6 trailer is out. Rockstar released the Grand Theft Auto VI Launch Trailer on October 15, 2026, about a month before the November 19 launch. Rockstar calls it the 'Launch Trailer', not 'Trailer 3'. It follows Trailer 1 (December 2023), Trailer 2 (May 6, 2025) and the 26-27 minute Extended Look on Netflix (August 27, 2026).
For almost a year, "when is Trailer 3?" was the GTA question. It's finally answered: ✅ CONFIRMED, the new trailer is out. Rockstar dropped it on October 15, 2026, no warning, just a shadow drop.
One twist: Rockstar didn't call it Trailer 3. It's the Launch Trailer.
Is GTA 6 Trailer 3 out?
Yes. Rockstar's official GTA VI site lists four videos: Launch Trailer, An Extended Look, Trailer 2 and Trailer 1. The site's news feed dates the Launch Trailer to October 15, 2026.
So if you searched "Trailer 3", this is the one. You can watch it on Rockstar's YouTube channel or at rockstargames.com/VI.
Every official GTA 6 trailer (timeline)
| Video | Release date | What it brought |
|---|---|---|
| Trailer 1 | Dec 4–5, 2023 | Vice City + Lucia reveal, "2025" release window |
| Trailer 2 | May 6, 2025 | Jason and Lucia's story, May 26, 2026 date (later delayed) |
| An Extended Look | Aug 27, 2026 | ~26–27 min of in-game footage, premiered on Netflix |
| Launch Trailer | Oct 15, 2026 | Final trailer before the Nov 19, 2026 launch |
Trailer 1 was planned for December 5, 2023, but it leaked. Rockstar posted it early, on the evening of December 4 (US time), telling fans to "watch the real thing on YouTube." It became the most-viewed video game reveal on YouTube in 24 hours, with 90,421,491 views, according to Guinness World Records.
What does the GTA 6 launch trailer show?
- Jason and Lucia in Vice City, caught in a criminal conspiracy across the state of Leonida after an easy score goes wrong (that's Rockstar's own description).
- Heists, chases and romance: Gfinity's breakdown points to heist footage, Vice City action and Lucia calling Jason from jail.
- Captured on PS5: Rockstar says the footage was captured in-game on PlayStation 5 (a standard PS5, not a PS5 Pro, per RockstarINTEL).
- The release date again: November 19, 2026.
Length: short. Reports put it somewhere between 90 seconds and just under two minutes.
The music: Justice and "Flower in a Hurricane"
The trailer debuts "Flower in a Hurricane" by Justice featuring Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard. Justice also composed the game's original score, according to Gematsu.
The song is on Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album, the official soundtrack. Pre-saving and vinyl/CD pre-orders are open.

Why didn't Rockstar call it Trailer 3?
Rockstar didn't explain. Our read: a "launch trailer" is the final hype push right before release, and Rockstar has used that label before. After the Extended Look on Netflix, a "Trailer 3" number would have been confusing anyway.

Will there be a Trailer 4?
Not announced. With launch on November 19, 2026, the next big moment is the game itself. Pre-load starts November 12: pre-load guide.
Heads up: "Trailer 4 leaked" videos are almost always fan edits. If it's not on Rockstar's channels, it's not real. See GTA 6 scams & fake news.
